Nissan

The Pride of Japan

These cars are a pleasure to own,i would probably say that overall the finest cars built,i mentioned(in Toyota)that i don't know many mechanics that own Toyota but nearly all of them have owned a Nissan due to it's impressive reliability.

Micra(bubble)gearbox not the strongest prone to a whine, also chain rattle if not serviced regularly, also all Nissans have very thing gauge sheet body,so prone to car park dinks and rust, also note that if purchasing one check under the arches for rust holes and another MOT failure is seat belt anchorage.

almera has rust problems see above for same places, also don't know why had few reports of timing chain failure on the tino versions from AA/RAC mechanics, probably due to non service

primera(i have owned six of these)not as prone to rust as the other two, bullet proof chain driven twin cam engine petrol and the most amazing diesel 2.0 engine known to man,if you have only a grand to spend then buy a 1999/2000 Primera, you will be the happiest person alive.

These are a company on the move with the Murano and the new Qashqai, reliability and looks, don't look any further!!!
